Rhone Cruise: Arles and the Camargue

We embarked on the Avalon Poetry II in Arles
We embarked on the Poetry II and docked in Arles for the night. Our cruise director neglected to tell us about the bullfight and the after party with thousands of drunken revelers. Perhaps he didn't want to lose any of us before the cruise began. This morning we saw the barricades protecting viewers of the Arles version of "Running with the bulls." .

The rest of our walking tour included the Arena, Theater, Place du Forum, Roman Obelisk, and St. Trophime Church (Romanesque and Gothic). We also visited the hospital Van Gogh stayed after his ear incident.
