I am always up for a boat ride but this was a chilly one!
Our guide said the Cape Fur Seal (really a sea lion) and pelican are wild but their "bravery" for being willing to get "up close and personal" has paid off in regular fish treats.
This idle oil rig was towed to Walvis Bay from Angola. The owners pay a fortune to rent space here but Walvis Bay, Cape Town, and Durban are regarded as the only safe harbors where your property won't be stripped down and sold for salvage the moment you turn your back.
