Namibia: Himba Culture and a Flat Tire

Enroute to Etosha from Damaraland, we visited a Himba Village. Himba Women paint themselves twice a day with red clay mixed with butter.  They coat their long plaits of hair with red clay and add tassels to the ends.
Respected matriarch of this village
While most have kept their traditions, this woman adopted and maintained a more European way of dressing, but from a different era.
A moment of excitement before reaching Etosha - a blowout.  The tire was shredded but our guide reacted swiftly and skillfully.
